Nanjing, the former names: Jinling, Jianye, Jiankang, Jiangning. Nanjing’s official name literally means Southern Capital. The word Nan means the south, and the word Jing means capital. Nanjing was also the former capital city of China, right before Beijing. Nanjing is China’s eight-largest city, the national logistics hub, the Yangtze River International Shipping and Logistics Center, is also a comprehensive transportation and communication hub city in China.

These data highlight the relatively high level of economic development in the surrounding areas of Nanjing. It takes about 1 hour to taking high-speed rail from the most cities in Anhui and Jiangsu provinces to Nanjing. These two are the major province of wine & spirits consumption.
